Elektronics company Philips has had a successful second quarter. Turnover increased by 3 percent to 6 billion euros and profits rose from 243 million to 274 million euros.
Philips’ health division was especially successful in the USA, where the turnover increased significantly. The lighting and consumer divisions of Philips also saw big rises in their margins.
Philips is working on dividing the company into two, one company for lighting and another for health and consumer articles. The split is expected to be completed by the first half of 2016.
