Playing street football the whole day? This is possible on May 5. At the national ‘Straatvoetbaldag’.
The ‘straatvoetbaldag’ in Eindhoven is organized by Dynamo ‘Jeugdwerk’ (youth projects), 040Projects and other organizations. Children and neighbourhood mates are invited to play football on the streets.
The Netherlands Football Association (SVBN) organizes the Straatvoetbaldag for eight years now. The intention is to bring people in neighbourhoods closer together. Not only through the sport itself, also by organising the event together.
The opening at 11:30 hrs on May 5 starts with a show of E-moves, an events company in the fields of for example BMX and breakdance. In the evening there will be the finals. The winners will go on to the national Dutch street football championships.
Anyone can join, there are three teams of 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16+. You can play at the Klokgebouw and at the Ketelhuisplein. You can register through the site.
