The police detained a 74-year-old Eindhoven resident, following a hit and run accident, last Monday. The man bumped his vehicle into a 14-year-old bicycle rider and immediately drove away without stopping.
The collision took place on the Bisschop Bekkerslaan in Woensel North, Eindhoven. As a result of the impact, the cyclist fell off his bicycle. Immediately thereafter, the vehicle drove off. Luckily, the vehicle’s data was noted down; thereby enabling the police to locate the driver.
Police officers found the driver at his home. Following an interrogation, he received a 500 Euro fine and was free to leave. The victim incurred a bruised hip and his bicycle was badly damaged.
