The renovation of the main building at the TU may go ahead. Earlier today, the demolition permit was granted by the City Council.
At the beginning of next year, a part of the building will be demolished. The other part will be refurbished. Construction of the new building is planned to start in 2016.
In the new building, the staircase will be central. Natural daylight will be used to the maximum. The total footprint will be somewhat smaller, decreasing from 44,500 m2 to 42,000 m2.
