DDW draws 250,000 visitors

The Dutch Design Week attracted some 250,000 people to Eindhoven over the past week. The organization is happy with the successful thirteenth edition of the design event.

At 86 different locations, 2400 designers displayed their products guided by this year’s theme: ‘UP’. Social design was this year’s focus. According to director Martijn Paulen, the professionals from various branches got together in order to make the world a better place.

‘Designers, but also scientist, artist, inventors and students have ideas and create solutions to today’s challenges and that is what they have proven over the past week’, Paulen said.
