There has been a leak of information regarding a secret report about land fraud in Nuenen. The report confirms the presumption that massive fraud was taking place with valuation reports.
The report, prepared by KAFI-Integrity, states that illegal valuations have been determined for years. Insufficient checks of transactions by politicians made the fraud possible, according to Eindhovens Dagblad.
In the spring, the Town Council decided that the report had to stay confidential, in order to prevent complicating possible prosecution of people involved. Later this month, the Court decides whether or not to prosecute people.
The Nuenen mayor Maarten Houben is going to report Council member Hans Pijs for leaking the confidential report.
