On Friday night around half past two the police arrested a 37-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman from Romania on suspicion of pickpocketing.
Earlier that night a girl in a cafe on the Stratumseind noticed that some items had been stolen from her bag. A witness alerted her that these two might have committed the theft.
Then the couple was approached and the police were alerted. The 21-year-old woman appeared to have the victim’s mobile phone in her possession. The pair was arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation.
