The move from their TU location took place a few months ago, but the official opening for Beeldenstorm’s (Statue Storm) new location at the NRE property is today.
Beeldenstorm engages in the casting of metals. The idea is to bring together visual arts, design and industry. They have succeeded in doing so for more than twenty years.
The organisation finds that the move to their new location at the NRE site offers more benefits than at their original site at the TU-campus. The company is more visible, more accessible and has more possibilities to offer. At the new location, not only can they cast metal, but now they are also able to experiment with glass and plastics.
Alderman Mary Ann Schreurs from the department of Culture will come this afternoon to host the opening ceremony.
