Almost 4 acres were burned in a forest fire near the ‘Hut van Mie Pils’ in Waalre. It was contained little after 18.00 Hrs.
Various fire departments in the area were mobilized. The fire was difficult to contain due to windy conditions and a fire tanker truck getting stuck in loose sand for a short while.
One fire engine hit a motorcycle on the N69. The motorcyclist was severely injured and taken to hospital.
