Jacques Straathof is the new Chief Financial Officer of VION Food, the Eindhoven meat company announces on its website.
The 52-year-old Straathof formerly held CFO positions for Ahold in Spain and the Sperwer Group (PLUS and Spar supermarkets). He starts his new job on 19 May.
VION is an internationally operating food company with a total of 21,000 employees. Recently, the company had to close down an abattoir in Helmond with a staff of 130. VION needed to cut costs in order to keep up with the international competition.
