The Technical University of Eindhoven launched a new research center today: the High Tech Systems Center.
Various fields of study are coming together in the center, like mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics and computer science. People will be working on all kinds of high tech equipment like robots, scanners or advanced 3D printers. They are the ‘machines of the future’, as TU/e calls it itself and the focus will primarily be on questions and desires that come from the high tech sector itself.
The new research center was presented on the university’s birthday: today TU/e celebrates its 58th Dies Natalis. Traditionally, that takes place in the Paterskerk (Paters church), where several speeches were given, all dedicated to this year’s theme: high tech systems.
