Two of the four dermatologists who left Catharina Hospital in May started working in a new private clinic in Eindhoven.
The dermatologists have been working at a new location of the Mohs Klinieken at the Onze Lieve Vrouwenstraat since July. It is a treatment centre specialized in skin cancer and varicose veins. The two dermatologists, together with two other colleagues, left Catharina Hospital because of a conflict they had with the Board in May. The hospital accused the doctors of having started a cosmetic surgery within their hospital without their consent. The dermatologists´ partnership refutes the claim. They say they had the Board´s verbal consent. The situation became unworkable; reason for the Board to decide the doctors needed to depart. They did not get a severance package. There is no comment from the hospital on the new activities of the two dermatologists, as the legal proceedings are still underway.
