Yesterday, for the first time, internationals could pitch in front of an audience in Oude Rechtbank at an event called 24U Elevator.
It was organized by ‘24 uur in bedrijf’ (running 24 hrs), a network in Eindhoven to bring companies together by means of various media. The evening went along a lot different than usual. Director David van Iersel: “it was a truly colourful evening with a lot of surprises, unlike the Dutch 24U Elevator pitches we had a variety of ways and structures people used to hold their pitches. Also normally we don’t allow the use of a digital presentation, this was a try-out but I don’t think we will admit it again”.Pitches were held by Indian, Spanish, Dutch and French nationals, all had their particular way of presenting their business, idea or event. The pitchers were judged by three judges and an Indian lady called Prachi won first prize for her idea to add Indian flavour to weddings.
