Pub owners and the municipality reached an agreement that will put an end to Happy Hours at Stratumseind. At the end of this month, the agreement will be signed.
During Happy Hours, alcohol is sold at giveaway prices. This should become history once the agreement is signed between the municipality and the pub owners. The city wants to tackle alcohol abuse in the entertainment district.The agreement is one of the measures taken in order to make Stratumseind a safer street with a better quality of life. There are also plans to have other businesses, besides pubs, come to the street, such as companies that offer a workplace to small entrepreneurs. Flexible closing hours is another subject being discussed. The street should also get a more friendly look thanks to new street lights.
