Construction of Lab Solliance commences at High Tech Campus

At the High Tech Campus construction of the Lab Solliance began on Monday. The building will house about 250 researchers and developers from different companies.

The Solliance consortium includes workers from TNO, TU/e and Host Centre whom work together on thin-film solar cell technology. The research is aimed at improving the efficiency of the cells in order to reduce production costs. The new building will consist of 2000 m2 production space and 1800 m2 of office and lab space. If new parties would like to join in the future, the building can be easily expanded. At the beginning of next year, researchers are expected to be able to begin using the building. The province of North Brabant helps pay for the project.
