Minister Jet Bussemaker designated the Evoluon, the Philips head-quarters at the Boschdijk and the old W-Hal at the TU/e campus as new national heritage sites. She announced the nominated sites at the Evoluon Monday.
The potential monuments date from the second stage of the reconstruction era, the period from 1959 to 1965.Bussemaker nominated a total of 89 buildings and sites throughout the country, such as the storm surge barrier at the Hollandse IJssel, the Hilton in Amsterdam, the Europahal Amsterdam RAI and the memorial at the Hollandse Schouwburg in Amsterdam.
