EINDHOVEN – Good news for the homeless in Eindhoven. Starting Wednesday, soup, bread and coffee will be distributed by Neos, Stichting Sint Annaklooster and the Salvation Army every week.
The so-called Soup-bus will be coming to the Professor Dr. Dorgelolaan and to the Deken van Somerenstraat every Wednesday. The soup-bus has been successfully distributing soup in Maastricht and Venlo. Therefore, the bus will also be coming to Eindhoven once a week. “Current projects show it is an excellent way to get in touch with people who do not look for help themselves, but can use the attention”, reports Project Soepbus. “Professionals run the distribution, which is staffed by volunteers and experts. The bus’ weekly presence will represent an anchor point and a meeting place to the homeless.”The project is supported by building corporations such as Woonbedrijf, Domein and Trudo, but also by the Brothers of Love (Broeders van Liefde), the food bank and a butcher.Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
