The performance starts, dream-like, with beautiful percussion music. Then a funny man comes on stage dragging a suitcase with him. He makes it clear that he doesn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps as office man!
He takes several curious characters out of his suitcase: a ballerina who keeps slipping over, a drummer boy, a ‘sexy fonist’… saxophonist you mean. Than a giant baby mask appears. His mask-work seems like magic, because the baby changes into a 7 years old girl, then into a beautiful lady, then into an auntie making music on an African drum, even in an eighty year-old woman. And, in the end, he succeeds in becoming what he had always dreamed of…
Language Though in Dutch language, it is easily to follow for children, because only a few words and very much to see.
For free
If you are on time, a cup of tea or coffee is for free. Oh yes, afterwards you make pictures of your children with one of the masks … and they can make some music with Paul, the excellent musician.
