Shrigandha Holland Kannada Balaga (Stichting Shrigandha) widely known as Shrigandha, is one of the oldest Indian communities in the Netherlands founded in 2004. It has been organizing events PAN Netherlands to create a platform for Kannada & for Indians originating from Karnataka and living in the Netherlands to come along and celebrate festivals like Ugadi, Kannada Rajyotsava (Formation day) with fellow kannadigas.

The events are organized with great enthusiasm and pride with different cultural programs including different styles & practices orginating from different regions of the state. The events usually involve different cultural arts including regional folk dance, songs and drama performed by fellow Kannadigas with immense talent living in the region. The event also includes Karnataka style lunch or dinner.

On March 25th Shrigandha is organizing “Shrigandha Ugadi 2023, Eindhoven” at Deniz Trouwzaal, Eindhoven from 11:00 – 17:00 hours. Ugadi marks the start of the Hindu New year and is a widely celebrated festival in the region. Shrigandha has been organizing Ugadi as one of the major events of the year. They expect about ~350 kannadigas to join the celebration of the Ugadi (Hindu New year) in Karnataka style. The event is accessible based on registration, includes lunch and lots of fun gathering fellow kannadigas.
