The dark Christmas days are made lighter and certainly much nicer with choral music, sung by the Moscow cathedral choir. With his Vespers, Rachmaninoff wrote one of the highlights of Russian spiritual music. Tschesnokoff also made outstanding contributions early last century to the centuries-old Russian choral art.
