Markets in Eindhoven: getting to know the culture
April 3, 2023 @ 08:00 - 12:00
An event every week that begins at 08:00 on Monday, repeating indefinitely
Markets are a great way to get outside, buy what you need and… to get to know the culture.
And in Eindhoven you will see that you will find a mix of all cultures across all markets.
But mostly the traditional Dutch culture with its fabric stalls (here since 800 years), fish monger to get this nice and warm fried fish on the go. Also cheese stalls where you will find that cheeses that have been outside taste better. Nuts, delicacies, clothing and all kinds of accessories stalls.
The “ordinary” markets in Eindhoven can be found every day of the week in a different part of town. They are ordinary in the sense that you can get your daily groceries and other necessities there. But extraordinary in the sense that you can always come across a nice surprise or visitor there. Like the organic market on Saturdays on Wilhelminaplein or the monthly market on Strijp-S, where there is also music and entertainment. There is a stall for everybody!
