KAZERNE COLLECTS “EXPIRED WHITES” Workshop by designer Baiba Soma

March 3, 2020 @ 18:00 - 19:00

€5
Kazerne, Baiba Soma, Expired Whites

Do you have a plug converter for that “once-in-a-lifetime” holiday to Greenland, a walk-in fridge that makes you claustrophobic after all, or a collection of earbuds that don’t fit into your new phone? Hop by!

Kazerne Home of Design is organising a collection campaign for the recently graduated designtalent Baiba Soma. For her graduation from the Design Academy, Soma made beautiful new items and remarkable design objects from discarded electricity cables, fridge-doors, and washing machine parts. Donations are welcome until Tuesday Mach 3rd in Kazerne, at the Paradijslaan in Eindhoven.

“My aim is to show the beauty of discarded products by transforming them into new, functional objects” –Baiba Soma

At the conclusion of our current expo, there is a workshop where you, under supervision of the designer, can transform the yield of the collection campaign into unique lamps, wallhangings and other design pieces.

Tickets include a drink and a bite.

Doors open: 17:30 Start event: 18:00 End: 19:00
