ICW: How they reinvent themselves through entrepreneurship

June 5, 2020 @ 19:00 - 20:00

Free
ICW(international creative women)

Many companies in the Brainport region and TU Eindhoven, have attracted a large number of international workers and students, resulting in the relocation of their partners in Eindhoven. These women along with migrants and many other women who fall in love with a Dutch citizen, have left their careers, family and friends behind, and very often after few months find themselves alienated. The impact on these women is real: they experience disconnection, loneliness, depression and disempowerment which affects the stability of the family in the new environment.

An alternative that has generated effective and fast results for these women is entrepreneurship: turning a profession or hobby into a business. In response to this phenomenon, the ICW community emerged as an alternative for mutual support to all these international women.

International Creative Women is a model of social entrepreneurship that aims to help women reinvent themselves and facilitate their process of cultural integration. They work as women’s network where the knowledge and experience of each woman is at the service of others.

They are happy to share their story and the many success stories they have within the community. Hope their initiative can be an inspiration to those women who are coming to live in the region.

Free entrance, but registration required.
