CSI Eindhoven Prepares For Top Edition: “Best Field of Riders Ever”
CSI Eindhoven has never had before such a strong field of competitors. And it turns out it could be even better! The reigning Olympic champion and current world number two, Ben Maher, is also competing at CSI Eindhoven. “This is the best competition field ever, it is really fantastic to notice that the world’s best riders are so keen to ride in Eindhoven, said board member Leopold van Asten, one of the other big names in the competition field.

“The charm of CSI Eindhoven is of course the special arena, on the lake side, so close to the city centre and yet all the space and charisma associated with equestrian sport. And in addition, the free access for the public. Where can you enjoy absolute top-class sport up close these days without having to buy tickets? Everyone is very welcome at CSI Eindhoven, the ultimate family outing in Eindhoven during the Ascension weekend,’ says chairman Bas van der Leegte.

Dreaming of this
From Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 May, CSI Eindhoven will welcome no fewer than twelve riders from the world’s top 100. Competitions like CSI Eindhoven are unique and fortunately it turns out that riders appreciate that. For the organisation, there is no better reward for all the preparatory work, said Leopold van Asten. “We noticed from the very beginning that there was a lot of
enthusiasm among the riders, but we could only dream of this field of participants.”

Lots to experience
CSI Eindhoven is freely accessible to the public, allowing young and old to get acquainted with international equestrian sports. There is plenty to do, such as an extensive programme for children, shopping to your heart’s content and if you want to enjoy good food, a cosy drink or just a cup of coffee in between the sports and entertainment, that is also possible. CSI Eindhoven offers something for everyone.

From Eindhoven to Paris
“The enthusiasm is so great for CSI Eindhoven, we really have a luxury position with so many entries from the riders”, Leopold van Asten enthuses. “It's fantastic for the public that they can see these riders in action at the Karpendonkse Plas. Later this summer, many of these riders as well as the horses we will see in Eindhoven will start at the Olympic Games in Paris.” CSI Eindhoven is a qualifier for the Olympics. Riders who have not yet met the final requirements with their horses will have the chance to achieve them in Eindhoven.
