Classical family concert at TU/e

Symfonieorkest (orchestra) Eindhoven plays its annual family concert in the Blauwe Zaal of the TU/e Auditorium. This concert is offered to the Eindhoven audience by the TU/e.
The concert has an educational character, with the cooperation of the youthful string orchestra040 from Eindhoven, among others.
The story of the piano and the orchestra
“A lonely pianist has only one goal: he wants to play in a big orchestra! But the musicians don’t like it – does the piano belong in the orchestra? The pianist has to work very hard to convince the orchestra that his piano really is indispensable among the other instruments.”
Music
At this concert, you will hear movements from Sergei Rachmaninov’s famous 2nd piano concerto, jazzy music by Shostakovich and music by French composer Gounod, among others.
After the concert, the children can try out the instruments in the instrument gallery.
