CHARITY MEAL FOR THE BENEFIT OF SCHOOL HÎVÎ IN KOBANÊ

March 26, 2019 @ 18:00 - 22:00

Euro12,50

On 26 March from 18:00 – 22:00 everyone is welcome for a social meal at the Cruydenhuisch, Kalmoesplein 73, Eindhoven.

The meal will be prepared by experienced chefs from the Middle East. The financial proceeds are intended for the school breakfast of handicapped children in northern Syria.

Peace in the Middle East is still far away, but this part of Syria is safe enough. The inhabitants feel liberated from Assad and ISIS and try to build a new society despite the threat of war.

In the Kobanê / Ayn al-‘Arab women established a school for approx. 25 disabled children. The name of the school is Hîvî, this means Hope. Eindhoven citizens have raised € 10,000 for this school. With this amount in June 2018 a building was refurbished and furnished with space for 50 pupils.

People are working hard on reconstruction. But many parents still have no work and no income. Children come to school without breakfast or lunch. That is why the teachers ask for money for a healthy school breakfast.

The meal in the Cruydenhuisch costs € 12: 50 per person, excluding drinks. Registration is required via 040-2024583 (between 10 and 22 hours except Monday) or by reservations@hetcruydenhuisch.nl.

The evening is organized by COS31 Social Integration and EINDHOVEN~KOBANÊ a working group of Vredesburo.cuy
