Burns’ Céilidh in Eindhoven on Jan 26

January 26 @ 19:30 - 22:30

The Thistle Club Eindhoven organizes a Burns’ Ceilidh on January 26, 2019. A traditional celebration with dance and haggis, to celebrate the Scottish national hero.

Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796) (also known as Rabbie Burns), Scotland’s favourite son, the Ploughman Poet, the Bard of Ayrshire and in Scotland as simply The Bard was a poet and a lyricist. On his birthday, celebrated by Scots the world over, a traditional Burn’s Supper with haggis is served accompanied by the sweet sound of bagpipes. Burn’s suppers can be quite formal as well as informal but must be entertaining and usually accompanied by dance.
