From October 19 to 27, Northern Europe’s largest design event returns to Eindhoven. Get ready for 100+ locations, 2.600 designers, and lots of exhibitions, lectures, award ceremonies, parties, and more.

DDW offers a platform for design in the broadest sense of the word: from innovative furniture to social design. The emphasis is mainly on the latter category: DDW wants to showcase how designers contribute to a beautiful, sustainable future.

Theme

Each year revolves around a theme. This year, it’s ‘REAL UNREAL’. How do we navigate both the physical and digital worlds, and the combination of the two? When can we accept something as truth? In other words: what is real and what isn’t? This DDW, designers are working to make the impossible possible again and treat you to new (real!) perspective.

Where

Dutch Design Week is hard to miss if you’re in Eindhoven between October 19 and 27. There’s something to see and do almost everywhere in the city, with nine areas and several individual design hotspots. If you click ‘map mode’ on the DDW website, you’ll see all the locations on the map.

Ticket info

Part of DDW is free, but you need a ticket for the other cool places. This website shows exactly you what you can see with and without a ticket. Bonus tip: buying a ticket online in advance will save you a few bucks.
