Philips Museum is hosting Open Day during Dutch Technology Festival 2023

On Saturday, June 10, the doors will be open for free at the Philips Museum in Eindhoven. Throughout the day, various mini-lectures on technical innovations will be organized and there will be all kinds of interactive activities to do. Visitors will experience how modern technology is changing our lives.
During the open day, the importance of technology history plays a major role. Visitors are introduced to the development of innovations that were and are of great impact on our society. While puzzling, the smallest visitors learn the difference between MRI and X-ray. With smart technology and use of AI, visitors can use interactive screens to learn more about the inside of their bodies. Innovations that Philips also applies in the health sector.
Interactive activities
By applying artificial intelligence when making MRI scans, doctors can make a better and faster diagnosis of patients. During the open day, visitors can experience for themselves how this works with a demo of the software application SmartSpeed that Philips is working with. Visitors also get a glimpse into the future through the interactive screens of Innovation & You experience that react directly to body heat.
By playing the family game Mission Eureka, learn how Philips has developed over the years into the health technology company it is today.
Technical mini-lectures
Every hour, Philips lecturers will give inspiring mini-lectures on technical topics from history. The development from radio lamp to LED lighting, but also the development from analog to digital and X-ray will be discussed by the experts. All innovations that have a major impact on our society. Afterwards, visitors have time to ask their questions.
High Tech Discovery Route
The Philips Museum is one of the hotspots of the High Tech Discovery Route, part of the Dutch Technology Festival 2023. In this way, everyone gets a chance to look behind the scenes in the Brainport region and experience how technology contributes to our daily lives. Other hotspots are: Brainport Industries Campus, Simac, Daf Museum, Stichting Hightech Helmond – de Peel and Nederlands Steendrukmuseum.
Everyone is welcome. Children, teenagers and their parents or grandparents to local residents, professionals and students. Registration is not necessary.
