Following the stormy weather last night, there were a number of damage reports made, due to the storm in the region. One of them was in Nuenen, where a tree had landed partly on a bicycle path.
As a result, the Geldropsedijk was impassable. A big treetop had landed, due to the hard wind, on the bicycle path. Luckily, there were no cyclists on the bicycle path at that moment; thus, no one was injured.
The fire fighters were extremely busy with chopping down the treetop into pieces, so that the way could be cleared from the obstacle. Therefore, the Geldropsedijk was temporarily closed to traffic.
