The Vonderkwartier in Eindhoven wants be a fully energy neutral district. A group of residents started a campaign group to become more environmentally aware.
The thirties dwellings in the Vonderkwartier are now not always well insulated. So that could be better.
Residents now take a course how to use sustainable energy. Students are given an energy meter to take home. The neighbourhood association Vonderkwartier also organizes an information meeting and brainstorm sessions shortly to promote sustainability in the neighborhood. Ultimately, the district wants to generate energy itself.
