‘Bomb discovered under Eindhoven railway station’

Construction workers have found a bomb under Eindhoven railway station last Friday. The object they found was a Phosphorus Grenade, probably dated back to WWII. It was found under platform Six.

According to Omroep Brabant, the Brabant’s regional news broadcasting service, the bomb had come close to exploding. Luckily, no one was injured.

Apparently, just after discovering the grenade, it began to release smoke and started to burn. Fortunately, it did not explode. The Explosives Removal and Neutralizing Services have taken the bomb for further analysis.
