Broad political support for better accessibility Int. School

The accessibility of the International School Eindhoven must become much better. The College of Mayor and Aldermen must ensure that there will be a structural connection as soon as possible.

Six political groups from the Eindhoven city council agree on this. The VVD, LPF, BBL, D66, the Elderly Appeal and the Christian Union filed a motion last night. Last week parents already complained about the poor connection to the school. Too few buses drive there and moreover the nearest bus stop is a 20 minutes walk. In particular during the dark months this is a big problem for students.

During the commission meeting, responsible alderman Visscher already agreed to bring the connection as a discussion topic when discussing the new public transport system for 2016, but the Groups find that a suitable solution should be found sooner. They want the college to talk to bus enterprise Hermes over a structural connection.

As line 189, which runs elsewhere, will expire soon, that money could be used for a route along the International School.
The Groups want clarity before summer recess begins.
