The labyrinth will be placed in the Philips de Jongh Park. With the arrival of the labyrinth, a last wish of the Eindhoven DJ will be fulfilled.
“It was Aïda’s wish to leave a work of art to the city, a work of art by and for the residents, a place that offers room for experimentation and connection. With a labyrinth in the Philips de Jongh Park, we are realising that wish”, can be read on Aïda’s website Rebelbass.
The work of art must become a meeting place in the city where experimentation, connection and meaning are central. In addition, the labyrinth will have an audio route available free of charge for ‘a deeper layer of experience’. With the technological element, the labyrinth will also become something typically Eindhoven, says the Rebelbass Foundation, the foundation that will construct and maintain the labyrinth.
“After Dik Raaymakers and Kid Baltan created the very first electronic music in the Natlab at Philips in 1950, this is the very first labyrinth that brings together science, music, technology and spirituality in a way that fits Eindhoven as a pioneer city”, the foundation says.
