ASML, chip machine manufacturer has had an excellent year. The turnover of the company increased by as much as 12 percent to 5.25 billion euros in the past year. And profits rose by 18 percent to 1.2 billion euros.
The growing demand for memory chips have induced the results. ASML makes machines that make chips for among others smartphones and tablets. The company is a world leader in that field.
ASML expects growth will probably continue in the first quarter of this year.
