Four youngsters were apprehended by the police in Tongelre Eindhoven, on suspicion of mugging and molestation on Monday.
The foursome, in the ages of 15, 16 and 17, are suspected of robbing a Smartphone from a 15-year-old boy. This took place on Saturday 6 December on Parklaan in Eindhoven.
Less than a week after the incident in December, the victim and two of the culprits came across each other on a playground in the Ruysdaelhof area. The 15-year-old victim recognized one of the two culprits. As a result, they kicked him and beat him up. Later they left on their scooters.
The police were able to locate the foursome due to eye witnesses’ statements. The mother of one of the youngsters was also apprehended yesterday evening, since she had used the stolen Smartphone to make calls. That is how the police was able to trace the culprits. The 36-year-old woman received a fine for keeping and using stolen property. The four youngsters are being detained at the police station for further investigation.
