A man’s body was found in the Wilhelminakanaal (Wilhelmina channel) in Best yesterday. It seems that the deceased was a resident of Best, apparently missing since Sunday evening.
The body was discovered by a passer-by on the Kanaaldijk, which immediately alerted the police.
Emergency services conducted an investigation at the channel’s area yesterday. The circumstances of the man’s demise and how his body ended up in the channel, are still unclear. The police investigators, however, rule out the possibility that the man’s death stems from criminal circumstances.
