Yesterday, a huge Easter Brunch was organized at the Lievendaal community centre in Strijp. A hundred and sixty local residents were offered a meal prepared by volunteers.
Even though it is two weeks before Easter, the community centre was all decorated accordingly, including some free-ranging chicken.
It is not the first time the community centre is organizing a brunch. They have been organizing it for a few years now, but every year, more people attend.
At the Christmas brunch, 130 people turned up and enjoyed the food. The organisation even had to limit the number of participants to the Easter brunch because the event would become too big otherwise.
