On Friday pupils and teachers of the Eckart College in Woensel collected two thousand trousers for charity.

The jeans will be sent to Congo. There they will be sold for a small amount and with the earned money studies of a group of young Congolese will be paid.

On the inside of the trouser legs students wrote messages like ‘Have fun, lots of love’.

The secondary school in Woensel also organises other social projects like the Third World Day in June. On this day the pupils gather money by means of sponsoring for activities they undertake. The money raised is going to several small scale Third World projects in Sulawesi, Gambia, Kenya and India.
