From today, you can play the piano at Eindhoven Station. This is one man – David Hordijk’s – initiative. He started things off by playing pieces from his repertoire at 15:00 today.
Hordijk started a Facebook campaign last year. About 500 people supported it. “The reactions were positive, and this is the result,” says David, who is a pianist himself.
NS surveyed business owners and workers at the station about this. “We know from other instances of having station pianos, that it is a nice thing to have for waiting passengers. However, if you work at the station the whole day, then your opinion is, of course, important,” says Hordijk on his Piano op Station Facebook page.
