The Animal Society Brabant South region will kick off Wednesday with a theme week about street cats. ‘Winkelcentrum Woensel’ requested this particular topic.
A fertile cat can in theory, over a period of 8 years, be responsible for the birth of two million kittens. A few evenings per week, volunteers from the Animal Society search for stray cats through the city streets. They are captured, sterilized, and then released.Due to this occasion, The Animal Society will produce a special ‘Street cat newspaper’. It is available the entire month and can be picked up at The Animal Society ‘De Doornakker’ centre (Dierenopvang Centrum De Doornakker).
