The police arrested a 40-year-old man on Thursday afternoon in Eindhoven whom they suspect of breaking into cars.
Officers saw the man, who is of no fixed abode, walking along Maria Montesoriestraat. He was carrying a bicycle with panniers, one of which was unusually full.The suspect is alleged to have broken into cars in the past. When officers asked the man what was in the panniers, he ran away. He was later picked up in Schoolstraat.The panniers were found to contain a number of stolen goods including sanding machines, watches and a pair of pliers. The police also found a navigation system that had previously been stolen from a car parked on Schoolstraat. The 28-year-old owner of the car had reported the theft.The suspect is being held pending further enquiries.
