Tuesday, and Tuesday only, travellers were able to check in at the mall. They had a chance to win two free tickets to a destination of their choice that way. With this action, Transavia celebrated the fact they became ‘leading base carrier’ at Eindhoven Airport.
As of this month, three aircrafts will be based at Eindhoven airport. For the airline this was a good reason for a party. Whoever showed up with a passport and a suitcase at the temporary check-in counter at the Piazza mall Tuesday morning at 10 was offered two tickets. A total of two hundred tickets were given away. The line at the check-in desk was long. At least ninety people were still standing in line at 10:15 Hrs.
