Free high-speed Wi-Fi, 4G, NFC and RFID connectivity

CityBeacons are providing free Gigabit and WiFi by using Intel® IoT platform in Eindhoven city to help tourists as they can make VoIP calls and to view city maps, to know real-time transport schedules, weather reports as well as local news and events, without roaming charges.

Wireless technologies like 4G, NFC and RFID are useful to pay for local services such as parking, events or e-commerce linked to local businesses.

Integrated cameras will be able to monitor the situation and microphones will allow the public to connect with emergency services to help in public safety issues.

With the help of this platform the digital kiosks will create revenue generation for the local businesses.

The CityBeacons is going to achieve all four specific functions which are information repository, free high-speed connectivity, increase public safety and revenue generation opportunities on this platform.
