The Woensel Westival will indeed be held this year. Earlier the organisers announced that the neighbourhood event would be cancelled, but a festival has now been planned for September.
The organisers said earlier that they had “no time or energy” to plan an event this year. There was, in particular, a shortage of volunteers. But after a call out for assistance, this problem has been solved.
The 19th edition of the festival will, thus, be held on 17 September on Celciusplein in Woensel West. It will be smaller and more “intimate” this year. There will be a musical ode to the neighbourhood and talented bands or people from the area are welcome to come and perform.
