On Saturday 2 November, homeowners opened their sustainable homes in Eindhoven to visitors. They did this as part of the Nationale Duurzame Huizen Route (National Sustainable Home Route). It will all happen again next Saturday 9 November.
It is the first time that Eindhoven has participated in the Nationale Duurzame Huizen (NDH) Route. Homeowners of homes with, for example, roof insulation, a solar water heater or natural gas-free homes can register via the website to participate. By opening a home to the public, visitors can gain knowledge and get inspiration for adding sustainable technologies to their homes.
This year is the seventh edition of the NDH route. The organization expects many visitors again this year. In 2018, more than five hundred homeowners nationwide opened their doors and as many as five thousand visitors visited these sustainable homes.
