Eindhoven Municipality will start the next phase of the redevelopment of Vestdijk on Thursday. This will be done from halfway down Oude Stadsgracht to the Dommel, the so-called Phase 4B.

This section of road will be closed to traffic until December. The City Council, therefore,  expects traffic problems in the area around the road works. Yellow signs will indicate the diversions. Phase 4B is starting later than planned since the previous work took longer than expected.

The inner city and Heuvel car park will still be accessible via Kanaaldijk-Zuid and Kanaalstraat and from the station via Vestdijk. The Municipality says that from the end of November / beginning of December, traffic can also leave the city via Breitnerstraat, Lucas Gasselstraat or Dirk Boutslaan.

Vestdijk is also closed in one direction between Geldropseweg and Bleekstraat to prevent traffic problems. Cyclists and pedestrians will also be diverted near the work area.
