Preparations for the 14th edition of light festival GLOW are underway, with installations already in place near the Van Abbemuseum, at Witte Dame, and on Stratumseind.
Thirty-five artists from the Netherlands and abroad will display their interpretations of this year’s theme, Living Colors, which looks at experiments using the colours in the spectrum of light.
For the first time, amateur light artists will have the opportunity to present their own projects in GLOWlabs, a series of sessions in which companies, artists, engineers, designers, institutions, and residents collaborate on light artwork at five locations on the route.
GLOW begins on Saturday 9 November and will end on 16 November. Approximately 750,000 visitors attended last year’s event, putting GLOW in the top 5 light art festivals in the world.
