Discophonic Orchestra in the Effenaar

Discophonic Orchestra will put on the concert ‘Disco Inferno’ in the Effenaar.

According to the Effenaar, this is the biggest orchestra ever to perform in their venue. The piece was conceived by Lex van Wel (53) from Eindhoven. He accompanies a 30-piece choir. The orchestra consists of singers, string and wind instruments and an extensive rhythm section, including pianists, guitarists, and a drummer.

Van Wel is a trombonist and conductor. He has accompanied various artists and toured all over Europe and Japan with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Disco Inferno’ is a performance of disco music with a symphonic touch. There are dance hits from the past 50 years are on the programme. These include hits from bands such as ABBA, Whitney Houston, Earth, Wind & Fire, along with hits by Bruno Mars and Beyoncé.

The concert will take place on Friday, 29 November.
