A group of international musicians will pay tribute to Jeff Buckley’s album Grace during a performance in December.

Guitarist Gary Lucas, who was good friends with Buckley, will join six other artists including Lara Chedraoui of Intergalactic Lovers and Di-Rect’s Marcel Veenendaal.

The performance, a so-called ‘Naked Song Special’ will see a number of musicians and bands play tracks from Grace on various stages in the Muziekgebouw.

The album’s most well-known hit is Buckley’s cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. Title track Grace and Lover You Should’ve Come Over are also popular works.

Grace was the only album Buckley released in his short-lived career, which spanned 1990-1997. Seen as one of the most promising musicians of his time, he died at the age of 30 in what was ruled an accidental drowning.

The ode to Grace performance will be held on 14 December.
